About Me

I make portraits of people sharing what they like to do to relax with my 8x10 large format camera. Participants get a quality print of them doing what they love like images were made in the 1940s. They also get to see how images were made almost 100 years ago. I enjoy the opportunity to meet people and learn from their experience.

When I’m not making these portraits, I practice street photography on the streets of Hong Kong. I try to capture spontaneous moments that tell a story of how I think and feel. It is how I observe the world. On the good days, I occasionally make images that look good too.

A Workshop

On special occasions, I conduct one on one, 90 minute workshops about “an introduction to large format photography” in Ma On Shan. We will cover the basics about setting up the camera, composing with camera movements and exposing an image. By the end, participants will have enough information to know where to explore next. I use 4x5 and 8x10 cameras with Iflord Direct Positive Paper, sheet film and a fuji Instax back.
